In 2014 the Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum initiated our Urban Orchard project. This project has bloomed from 50 fruit trees and bushes to over 100 on our 8-acre museum site. We have Apples, Pears, Plums, Grapes, Cherries, Haskaps, Raspberries and Strawberries. In 2023 we added to our existing museum gardens, we now have a total 8 gardens on-site. They showcase many different styles of gardening: Companion Planting, Trap Plants, Hügelkultur Method and even a bit of science with light reflection for heat.
